The Problem With Tile
Grout Was Never Actually Waterproof
Tile itself can be waterproof. Grout never was. It's a porous material sitting in the wettest room in your house, which means it absorbs moisture, stains, and grows mildew almost no matter how often you scrub it. Every tile shower is really a shower held together by hundreds of grout lines, and every one of those lines is a place water can get behind the wall.
That's not a maintenance failure on the homeowner's part. It's the material doing exactly what porous material does in a wet environment. The fix isn't a better grout sealer - it's not using grout at all. And we make sure everything behind the surface is built to the same standard.

What's On the Wall
One Seamless Surface, Not Hundreds of Grout Lines
Every Oasis shower and wall system installs as large, solid panels, fabricated to fit your exact dimensions on site. Seams between panels are sealed with vulcanized silicone, not grout, and there are far fewer of them than a tiled wall would ever have. The panels themselves are 100% waterproof and non-porous, so there's no material for mildew to take hold in, and nothing that needs annual resealing to keep working.
The look comes in three tiers, depending on how far you want to go: Sentrel, our standard grout-free panel, printed from 800-megapixel scans of real natural stone slabs for an authentic marble or stone appearance; Tyvarian, engineered stone with an even more authentic surface; and quartz wall systems, for homeowners who want the real thing. All three skip grout entirely, and most people can't tell it isn't tile until they touch it.
What's Behind the Wall
A Sealed System, Not Just a Waterproof Panel
A waterproof panel doesn't matter if water can get behind it through an unsealed seam or fastener hole. Instead of piecing together whatever backing board and caulk happened to be on the truck, we deploy the complete GoBoard system, matched washers, fasteners, and sealants from a single manufacturer, so every panel joint, framing gap, and mechanical fastener is sealed as part of one continuous system, not a patchwork of mixed brands.
Before any panel goes up, we check the surface it's going onto. Fasteners and washers are set flush with the board face so the substrate is completely flat, which keeps heavy solid-surface panels from rocking or leaving hollow pockets behind them. Every seam and change of plane then gets GoBoard's moisture-curing sealant, tooled flat into a tight skin that extends at least an inch past the joint. That's a second waterproof barrier without thick, uneven mounds under the panel.
What Holds It Together
Volcanic 100% RTV Silicone
Standard hardware-store caulk shrinks, cracks, and grows mildew within a few years, exactly the kind of failure behind warranty claims like the one described on our Lifetime Warranty page. As of 2026, every new Oasis installation uses Volcanic 100% RTV Silicone in place of standard builder-grade caulk. It's a professional-grade, non-shrinking, permanently waterproof formula that stays flexible, resists mildew, and is rated for the temperature swings a shower sees every day, not just at the final walkthrough.

What You Turn On Every Day
Solid-Brass Fixtures, Not Plastic Behind a Metal Finish
Big-box fixtures often hide plastic internal valves and cartridges behind a thin metallic coating, cheaper to manufacture, more likely to crack or leak inside the wall where you won't see it until it's a real problem. We install Hammerhead fixtures, built from solid brass and stainless steel, for hardware that matches the durability of everything else in the wall around it.

FAQs
Is a grout-free shower actually more waterproof than tile?
Yes. The panels are 100% waterproof and non-porous, and they're installed with a multi-layer waterproofing system behind them, unlike tile, which relies on grout that absorbs moisture over time.
What do grout-free walls look like, and what options do you offer?
The look of natural stone without the grout lines. Sentrel is our standard panel, printed from ultra-high-resolution scans of real stone slabs. Tyvarian is engineered stone, a step up for an even more authentic surface. Quartz wall systems are also available for those who want real natural stone.
What goes behind the panels and at the seams?
Behind the panels is the complete GoBoard system, with matched washers, fasteners, and GoBoard's moisture-curing sealant on every seam and change of plane, all from a single manufacturer. The finished panel joints and corners are sealed with Volcanic 100% RTV Silicone, a professional-grade, non-shrinking, permanently waterproof, mildew-resistant sealant, in place of standard builder-grade caulk.
What fixtures come standard?
Hammerhead fixtures, built from solid brass and stainless steel rather than plastic internals behind a metal-look finish.
Do you install over my existing tile shower?
No. We remove the old tile and the materials behind it first, so we can inspect the structure for hidden moisture damage and build the waterproof system on a clean, solid base. Covering old tile would trap whatever is behind it.
Are these materials covered under your warranty?
Yes. Our Lifetime Warranty covers materials and workmanship for as long as you own the home, and it's transferable to the next owner when you sell, with written notice.
