Project Overview
Jess and Kathy, homeowners in South Hill, met Oasis Bath Solutions at the Puyallup Home Show. They liked that we're a local company, and they were ready to have their unused bathtub removed entirely in favor of a walk-in shower.
Our crew tore out the original tub and tile, then rebuilt the space with a custom shower base and grout-free White Pearl Sentrel panels. If you're considering a similar project, our Puyallup bathroom remodeling page has more on what a typical project in the area looks like.
The Challenge: A Bathtub That Never Got Used
From an Unused Tub to a Custom Walk-In Shower
Jess and Kathy's tub had gone unused for years, taking up space in their bathroom without serving any real purpose. They'd met our team at the Puyallup Home Show and appreciated that we're a local company rather than a national franchise passing through the area.
Our crew tore out the original tub and tile down to the studs and rebuilt the space around a custom White Pearl shower base with grout-free wall panels. For homeowners weighing a similar conversion, our tub-to-shower conversion page walks through what's involved.
Before and After
The Result: A Fully Custom Walk-In Shower
TThe finished shower is built around a custom White Pearl shower base, with matching wall panels sealed as continuous sheets instead of individual tiles. A 15-inch corner shelf gives Jess and Kathy built-in storage, and a wall-backed ErgoSafetyBar grab bar in matte black adds real safety support.
A matte black Retreat shower system replaced the original fixtures, and a matte black Euro sliding door finishes the enclosure with a clean, modern look throughout.
Full scope of work:
Standard wetspace install package
Tile tear out
Custom White Pearl shower base
White Pearl wall panels, 60x96 and 36x96, with edge trim
15" corner shelf
Brushed nickel Tru-Temp valve
Matte black Retreat shower system
Matte black Euro sliding door, 60x70, clear glass
24" matte black ErgoSafetyBar grab bar

Do you actually work in Puyallup, or come from farther away?

What is a wall-backed grab bar, and how is it different from a clamp-on bar?
A wall-backed grab bar is anchored directly into the wall framing before the finish panels go on, making it far more secure than a clamp-on or suction-cup bar.
What is White Pearl?
White Pearl is a wall panel pattern in our grout-free Sentrel system. It installs as large, sealed sheets instead of individual tiles, so there are no grout lines to crack, stain, or collect mold.
